Update: I've downrated this to two stars because of the single roll limitation. All it needs the developers to do is to support multiple rolls and allow selecting between them. Unless that is, you’re prepared to delete the whole of your roll and recreate it every few weeks or months. You have Christmas, and beaches, and architecture, and animals all mixed up together which breaks any mood you might try to create. If I want a green roll, or a summer roll, or a water roll, or a night sky roll - tough. The big issue for me is that I can’t create multiple rolls - there’s just one and that’s it. Some of the pictures are really lovely, high quality and it’s nice to have a regularly changing desktop. It isn’t the work of art itself, which what Wallpaper App basically think, but its a person (or personified being) that inspires a work of art. An artist’s muse generally refers to a human model (traditionally a woman) who poses for the artist, but can be a personified source of inspiration. Note to developers, There’s a typo in the theme “Artist’s muse”. Note, there was an issue (bug) with the menu - but is now fixed in the upgrade, thank you. In addition, customisation of the order of the “roll” should be much more than just down to a random shuffle button. There needs to be greater customisation, for example selecting a past favourite desktop from “favourites” or the “roll” is tricky and needs to be simpler. Michelangelo’s “David”, Rodin’s “The Thinker”, Gaudi and Catalonian architecture etc…Ģ. The “Art” theme is poor, I understand the developers can’t reproduce famous artistic works due to copyright law, but they could easily photo important sculptures, e.g. Point 3 is important if you make heavy use of the desktop for temporary file and folder storage.ġ. Pretty easy to use the drop down-menu and can be separately set for each “desktop” I like the minimalist image type photos ĥ. Importantly, the photos tend towards block colours, which are geared not to disrupt reading desktop file and folder names Ĥ. The photos are not distracting, because you’re not the originator (not connected) ģ. Very cool landscape, lots to choose from and really nice block coloursĢ. tropical paradises, “snowscapes”, sunsets, Norwegian fjords, Venice, female/male models, cute/colourful animals and so on.ġ. Thus the app comprises a large number of stylised photos, ranging from people, to cultures, to landscapes, to the natural world which are all arranged in themes and generally selected as being very archetypal, e.g. The developers have gone to a lot of trouble to provide a lot of professional photos.
